If you want to travel for almost 4 kilometres without taking a single step, head for the Sledging Track in Špindlerův Mlýn. You can buy a ticket in the town centre at the Sledging Track bus stop (next to the Post Office). Buses depart for the starting point on the hour (or every half hour if there is sufficient demand) between 10:00 and 16:00, or 18:00 and 20:00. At the starting point you will be given a sledge, which you will ride down the track of almost 4 kilometres and spanning an elevation of approximately 350 m. Hand over your sledge by the pleasant refreshment stands and decide whether to return to the town centre by bus or enjoy a short stroll along the Elbe. If you want to go down again, you can wait for the next bus at the starting point.
From Tuesdays to Saturdays, you can try a floodlit evening ride. The track is closed to the public between 16:30 and 18:00 for grooming. Bus timetables and further information is available at reception or:
